Herpes simplex virus is a common skin condition that can be transmitted sexually through oral, vaginal, or anal sex. Read below for support resources for individuals diagnosed with HSV.


HSV Support Groups

Wolverine Wellness: New this year, Wolverine Wellness is hosting an HSV support group for students (undergraduates and graduate students welcome). 

This group is co-facilitated by a sexual health professional and a student. All are welcome to come discuss:

  • Relationships & sexuality
  • Self-image
  • Stigma & empowerment
  • Topics as chosen by the group

Metro Detroit HELP: HELP meetings are open to people with herpes and/or HPV and their partners. The meetings have varying formats including discussion, videos, and speakers. The purpose is to share our strength, knowledge, and experience. 

3rd Wednesday of every month, 7:00-8:30
